Berlin, May 11, 2026 — Forto, a leading technology-powered freight forwarder, released its 2025 Sustainability Report this week, documenting significant progress in climate protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The report focuses on the further expansion of emission reduction solutions for customers, the deeper integration of sustainable options into daily operations, and improvements in diversity and corporate culture.

“For Forto, sustainability is the compounding effect of smarter logistics decisions: lower carbon per shipment, shorter lead times, and better unit economics,” says Guillaume Petit-Perrin, CEO of Forto. “In 2025, we further scaled our sustainability solutions, integrated them more comprehensively into our platform, and achieved concrete results together with our customers. This demonstrates that, for us,economic performance and the sustainable transformation of logistics are inseparable.”

Climate Solutions Closer to the Customer

According to the report, a central lever for reducing emissions lies within the supply chain. Accordingly, Forto further integrated its emission reduction solutions into its SHIP customer platform over the past year. This allows customers to select biofuel options directly during the operational booking process and independently incorporate them into their transport decisions.

In the reporting year, four out of ten customers opted for Forto’s emission reduction solutions. These efforts center on biofuel-based insetting solutions following the “book-and-claim” principle. Through this approach, Forto and its customers achieved a calculated reduction of 1.361 tonnes of CO2e in 2025. This allows Forto to continue expanding its range of scalable solutions that enable companies to tangibly lower their transport-related emissions.

Furthermore, Forto supports its customers with reliable emissions data and detailed reports. These tools help companies identify emission hotspots, track their sustainability KPIs, and make informed decisions regarding emission reductions.

Increased E-Mobility and Renewable Energy

Forto also recorded progress in its internal operational sustainability. The share of electric vehicles in the company car fleet rose from 28 to 34 percent, with the Forto leadership team utilizing exclusively fully electric vehicles. Additionally, more than 42 percent of the electricity consumed was sourced from renewable energy. Overall, the 2025 report shows gross emissions of 81,412 tonnes of CO2e.

Promoting Diversity and Corporate Culture

The report also highlights positive developments in the social sector. The adjusted gender pay gap stands at less than one percent. The proportion of women in the leadership team increased from 36 to 38 percent. Furthermore, Forto launched an internal initiative to create a safe and inclusive space for the queer community within the company. In parallel, the network of Sustainability Ambassadors was expanded and formalized to further anchor the topic across the entire organization.

“The sustainable transformation of logistics can only succeed if it reaches daily operations,” says Guillaume Petit-Perrin. “We want to actively shape this development and provide our customers with solutions ultimately providing them peace of mind and control over their supply chain. This includes allowing them to manage their own emissions accounting and sustainability reporting through reliable data and detailed reports.”
