FreightHub was founded in 2016 by Ferry Heilemann, Erik Muttersbach, Michael Wax and Fabian Heilemann in Berlin, Germany. The team has a mutual entrepreneurial track record that dates back to 2009 when Ferry, Fabian and Erik were among the early contributors to the German digital industry, setting up the local couponing marketplace DailyDeal. In 2011, they sold it to Google Inc. for over 100 million USD.
In 2015, the four founders re-joined forces and mapped out what the perfect digital freight-forwarding experience for the shipper of the 21st century would look like: a one-stop shop and single face to the customer that would cover the entire process chain from quotation, booking, document management, track and trace all the way to proactive exception handling and supply chain data analytics.
Since its foundation, FreightHub has grown its customer base to more than 2,000 customers and expanded its team to over 250 technology experts and logistics enthusiasts located at 9 different offices worldwide. In 2019, the company raised more than 30 million USD in funding from reputable VCs.
As FreightHub's services after 4 years go far beyond simple transport from A to B and digital freight forwarding services, the founders decided to re-brand the company. With a name that does justice to the further development of
