Navigating global logistics in Q1 2025: Insights from a shifting market

The first quarter of 2025 brought both cautious optimism and complex challenges to the logistics industry. Economic stabilization in parts of Europe contrasts with persistent geopolitical tensions, inflationary volatility, and ongoing supply chain disruptions. Forto’s Q1 2025 Market Update offers a clear, data-driven perspective on these developments and what they mean for global freight.

This on-demand session unpacks the latest shifts across sea and air freight, highlights the impact of evolving trade policies and labor dynamics, and reveals how Forto supports businesses in building resilient, future-ready logistics operations.

In this session

  • The economic outlook across the Eurozone: inflation trends, ECB rate changes, and shifting business confidence.
  • Key challenges in sea freight: port congestion in Europe, shifts in carrier alliances, and rising overcapacity risks.
  • Air freight under pressure: labor strikes, capacity shortages, and modal shifts driven by reliability needs.
  • Strategic insights on adapting to unstable trade routes, especially amid Red Sea tensions and Suez diversions.
  • Forto’s role in helping customers navigate regulatory changes like SAF mandates and sustainability reporting.
