When submitting your application for a job with us
When you apply to a job on this site, the personal data contained in your application will be collected by Forto Logistics SE & Co. KG (“Controller”), which is located at Saarbrücker Str. 37 A, 10405 Berlin, Germany and can be contacted by email datenschutz@forto.com. Controller’s data protection officer is [Sebastian Heuer], who can be contacted at [[email protected]].
Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of managing Controller’s recruitment related activities, which include setting up and conducting interviews and tests for applicants, evaluating and assessing the results thereto, and as is otherwise needed in the recruitment and hiring processes. Such processing is legally permissible under Art. 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – “GDPR”) as necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, which are the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of applicants for employment.
Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Controller to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Controller’s behalf. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States once you submit it through this site. Because the European Union Commission has determined that United States data privacy laws do not ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data collected from EU data subjects, the transfer will be subject to appropriate additional safeguards under the standard contractual clauses as annexed to the European Commission Implementing Decision 2021/914 of 4 June 2021.
More information is available under “Data transfers outside the EU”.
Your personal data will be retained by Controller as long as Controller determines it is necessary to evaluate your application for employment. Under GDPR, you have the right to request access to your personal data, to request that your personal data be rectified or erased, and to request that processing of your personal data be restricted. Since we base the processing of your personal data on legitimate interest (Article 6 (1) f GDPR), you may object to the processing. This is the case if processing is not necessary in particular to fulfil a contract with you, which is described by us above. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adjust data processing or point out to you our compelling reasons worthy of protection, on the basis of which we will continue processing.
You also have the right to data portability. In addition, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
When ordering services via our website with a user account
You can create a user account with us. With your user account, accessible with your e-mail address and self-chosen password, you have access to your previous orders at any time and control over your personal data for processing orders. On our website you will find additional information about our services. As you may know, we offer international services. In order to provide our services, it is necessary for us to transfer personal data to our partners (e.g. carriers) and service providers (e.g. communication services, Amazon Web Services (https://aws.amazon.com/de/privacy/) etc.). Some of these partners are located outside the EU. We generally ensure that there are adequate guarantees for the protection of personal data in accordance with the DSGVO.
Our authorization to use the data for the management of the customer account and the performance of our services is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b DSGVO, because the use of data is necessary for the performance of the requested contract.
At your request we will delete the customer account again. Until then, we will store the relevant data without time limit so that you can access it at any time. We block the data on specific orders when the customer account is deleted after the order has been processed (expiry of the warranty period) and delete the data after the statutory retention periods have expired. We also block the data entered as a guest within the framework of an order after the order has been processed (expiry of the warranty period) and delete this data after the statutory retention periods have expired.
Disclosure and transmission to third parties
We only pass on your personal data to third parties (recipients) if we are entitled to do so under the data protection regulations. In the following we inform you about the cases in which this may be the case. We may pass on your personal data to third parties (recipients) if
you have given us your consent for one or more specific purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DSGVO);
the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b DSGVO);
the processing is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which we are subject (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO)
the processing is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests or those of a third party, unless your interests or fundamental rights and those which require the protection of your personal data outweigh the protection of your personal data (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO)
Furthermore, we work together with service providers, so-called contract processors, to whom we transfer your personal data and who process your data on our behalf and according to our instructions within the scope of Art. 28 DSGVO on our behalf. Analysis and retargeting tools
The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. With the tracking measures we use, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to record the use of our website statistically and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as justified in the sense of the above-mentioned regulation.
The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be taken from the corresponding tracking tools in this section.
If personal data is transferred outside the EU, either an adequate level of protection is guaranteed (Art. 45 DSGVO) or we use adequate guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 DSGVO. Copies of such security measures are available on the websites of the relevant tracking tool service providers listed in this section.
Google Tag Manager including Google Analytics
For the purpose of designing our websites to meet your needs and continuously optimizing them, we use Google Tag Manager including Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter „Google“). In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies (see section 5) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as
Browser type/version,
operating system used,
Referrer URL (the previously visited website),
Host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
Time of the server request
are transferred to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States as part of the contract data agreement we have with Google. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services connected with the use of the website and the internet for the purposes of market research and the design of these internet pages in line with requirements. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data from Google. The IP addresses are made anonymous, so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking). Sessions and campaigns are terminated after a certain period of time. By default, sessions are terminated after 30 minutes without activity and campaigns after six months. The time limit for campaigns can be a maximum of two years.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from all tracking activities by clicking here.
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).
Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
In order to record the use of our website statistically and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. Google Adwords sets a cookie (see point 5) on your computer, if you have reached our website via a Google display.
These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords client’s website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the client can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this website.
Every Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked through the websites of Adwords clients. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Adwords clients who have opted for conversion tracking. The Adwords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a website with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.
If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you may refuse to accept cookies by changing your browser setting that generally disables the automatic placement of cookies. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain „www.googleadservices.com“. Google’s privacy policy for conversion tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

Social Media
We use social plug-ins of the social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and GooglePlus on our website on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO to make our company better known. The advertising purpose behind this is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the DSGVO. The responsibility for data protection compliant operation is to be guaranteed by their respective providers. The integration of these plugins by us is done by the so-called two-click method to protect visitors of our website in the best possible way. The Social Media Plugins only start with the data transfer after you have activated the buttons. You will be informed about the data transfer as soon as you move the mouse pointer over the button.
On our website, social media plugins from Facebook are used to make their use more personal. For this we use the „LIKE“ or „SHARE“ button. This is an offer from Facebook.
If you call up a web page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers after you have activated the plugin. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which integrates it into the website.
Through the integration of the plugin, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding website of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the „LIKE“ or „SHARE“ button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.
Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and the design of Facebook websites to meet your needs. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook.
We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the websites, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the Facebook data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).
