Navigating logistics in Q3 2025: Pressure, progress, and preparation

Q3 2025 continued to challenge global logistics with growing capacity, ongoing geopolitical friction, and fast-changing market conditions. While energy prices eased and schedule reliability improved, both sea and air freight faced new complexities, ranging from reshuffled alliances and volatile rate trends to fresh operational constraints.

Forto’s Q3 2025 Market Update delivers actionable insights into the factors shaping freight flows this quarter and how logistics professionals can plan ahead with greater confidence.

This on-demand session breaks down the current landscape across sea and air freight, with expert commentary on trade risks, rate developments, and key strategies for resilience in an unpredictable environment.

In this session

  • Economic pulse check: Slower but stable growth across the Eurozone, improving inflation, and cautious expectations for the second half of 2025.
  • Sea freight outlook: Capacity jumps ahead of demand on Asia–Europe lanes, new alliance setups add operational friction, and rates remain under pressure.
  • Air freight market trends: Fragile demand recovery, conflict-related detours, and tight bellyhold space across summer months.
  • Strategic shifts: What evolving sourcing patterns, SAF cost visibility, and tech adoption mean for long-term logistics planning.
  • Forto’s perspective: How we help customers navigate ongoing disruption through smarter risk management and greater supply chain agility.
