Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich was a strong moment for Forto. Beyond the scale of the event and the quality of conversations, it was a clear validation point for our AI strategy – and a reminder of the momentum and interest around the future of logistics.

AI in action: Flash by Forto and FlashDoc

Our booth saw consistent engagement throughout the week. The daily demos of Flash by Forto and FlashDoc by Forto were a clear highlight. These tools are already transforming internal workflows for operations teams and unlocking meaningful value for our customers.

Over 100 people attended the demos. The reactions were immediate – questions were sharp, engagement was high, and the feedback was clear: the industry is not only ready for AI, it is actively seeking it.

On stage: “Freight forwarding is not ready for AI”

On Wednesday, our Director of Product, Francesco Foschetti, took the stage at Campus Plaza to deliver a direct message: freight forwarding is structurally behind when it comes to AI adoption.

This was not a complaint – it was a call to build. He outlined how legacy processes, fragmented data, and lack of standardization prevent meaningful automation. And he showed how Forto is solving for this, building the data foundation and tools needed to lead in this transition. Flash and FlashDoc were again featured, this time with early performance results and usage metrics.

We will share a full recording of the talk on our website and LinkedIn in the coming days.

Broader themes from the fair

Outside our own activities, a few themes stood out:

  • The AI conversation is maturing: Many companies are talking about AI, and it is becoming clear that large language models have brought an inflexion point into the potential for AI to profoundly change the industry. Forto is building and deploying it already.
  • Sustainability remains high on the agenda: Topics ranged from alternative fuels to carbon tracking dashboards. The conversation has shifted from ambition to execution. Forto’s own contributions—biofuel shipments, our Ocean Plastic Prevention program – were well aligned with this.
  • Partnerships are essential: Fragmentation and complexity remain high across global supply chains. The most compelling strategies often involved ecosystems and platform approaches.
  • People matter: Even in a tech-driven context, relationships, judgment, and experience were at the center of many conversations.

What comes next

We leave Munich energised and focused. The conversations confirmed that our strategy is resonating, and that the need for solutions like Flash and FlashDoc is real and immediate.

Thank you to everyone who visited us, challenged us, or partnered with us this week. We are looking forward to continuing the conversation at our upcoming events.
